After joining Beverley Mahood on tour to Afghanistan for 10 days to perform for the Canadian Troops, Giselle has returned. While settling back into life here at home, she took the time to reflect on her experience in an interview with James Jackson of the Observer.

“They get a show like ours coming through the base once every six months, so when we get there it’s a tiny piece of regular life to them ..."

Thanks to all who came out to the show at Tyrone T's in April - we were sold out! It was great to see so many familiar faces and so many new ones! The following article and images are a follow-up to the show, courtesy of SNAP Kitchener-Waterloo Magazine.

Giselle Acoustic Show
A crowded Tyrone's restaurant hosted Juno nominated singer Giselle on April 15. A delightful audience enjoyed fine dining as she entertained with her beautiful voice. Singing since she was 16, Giselle has toured the world performing shows with Keith Urban, George Strait, and Brooks and Dunn, as a member of the Canadian country music group 'Lace'. This event was one of the first shows held to promote her latest album, 'Ready When You Are,' since having her baby last year.

The Best Help Ever! - Mike Sanderson, Lynda Fiorini, Sam Zenger and Mac Ross

Last March, Giselle was invited to be part of a Paul Simon Tribute show - Going To Graceland - headed up by Kevin Ramessar at the Registry Theatre in Kitchener. This show was so popular, that he was back again this year with Return To Graceland - The Songs of Paul Simon, Volume 2.

Giselle had the pleasure of taking part in the second annual show. The Waterloo Region Record published a great article prior to the event and a full review from the show.

“Giselle’s voice is immediately arresting ... these songs
were some of the best of the night.”

"All of it makes for a richly textured, immersive disc that, while anchored in the country genre, confidently incorporates elements of Pop, Celtic and Jazz."
